About Me

After spending years in many dead end jobs and boring office placements, in early 2012 I was finally given the chance to turn my passion for cooking from a hobby to a profession.

Growing up in London, there was many rainy days to cook with my mother & grandmother, and this is where my love for this subject started, I have a weakness for kitsch, but I do hope you indulge me in this rather than judge me. This may reflect in my love for american diner fare and southern cooking which is no doubt noticeable in the food I cook. Despite my cooking being heavily influenced by this, my culinary roots are with traditional British dishes, so expect to see alot of pies and whatnot.. (I really should write some more diet friendly recipes, but life’s too short!).

Why start a blog?, after I decided to start photographing and documenting my recipes, I started to get requests for them, so rather than trying to respond to emails and write down recipes on scraps of paper, I thought it would be a much better idea to put it all on one place, and where better to put this kind of thing?.. you guessed it. a blog!.
